The KDFC Team

As currently constituted the KDFC team consists of seven members who are charged with the daily running of the company.
These members currently provide their services on a voluntary basis and are working tirelessly to mold and propel KDFC
towards achieving it's goals and objectives. Below are profiles of the core team.
Dr. Barack Abonyo, Ph.d

Dr Barack Otieno Abonyo holds a BSc in Zoology from Kenyatta University, Masters
Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Moi University and Doctorate in
Physiology from Brody School of Medicine, University of East Carolina. He did his
postdoctoral fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Barack is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological
Sciences at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee,
Florida in the United States of America. Dr. Abonyo is currently working
collaboratively with the School of Pharmacy in studying lung and nerve
inflammation with an aim of limiting progression of asthma, neuron degeneration
and cancer.
He is married with children and his biggest challenge in life he says is the
improvement of the standards of living of the people of Kenya and by extension
Africa thus his passion for the their economic empowerment.
Steve Kellogg

Raised in Kenya, Steve has spent many of his adult years working in cross-cultural
settings through five African countries.  Steve is an experienced speaker,
community organiser, minister and businessman whose major objective is to utilize
his cross-cultural skills in a ministry environment for the Lord’s glory.
As one of the first expatriates into Kigali after the genocide in Rwanda, he
immediately began re-staffing and caring for 900 children in 3 separate locations.
Steve also took tour groups into Uganda where he taught church leaders how to use
sports as an outreach tool and also witnessed in the schools.  
He holds a BA  from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA and a M Div, from
Wesley Biblical Seminary, Jackson, MS. Steve has recently linked personal
contacts from London, Colorado, California and Kenya to jointly purchase property
outside of Nairobi, Kenya on which to build a girls rescue school.
Peter O. Odhengo

Currently a part-time lecturer at the United States International University in
Nairobi, covering “Sustainable Resources Management”, Mr Odhengo is a
passionate community development activist. A short conversation with him will
expose his sincere belief in the education and economic empowerment of the
poor people of Africa as the true instruments of democratising the continent.
He graduated from Kenyatta University with a BSc. Degree in 1991, He
proceeded to UNESCO International Technological University, Paris France and
Sofia University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia Bulgaria in 1994
to undertake his postgraduate training in Environmental Protection and
Sustainable Development under a European Union Scholarship [Trans-European
Mobility Program University System-TEMPUS]. Mr. Odhengo managed to
complete his MSc. Degree with distinction. In 1998, Mr. Odhengo won a SIDA
scholarship to undertake a course on International Project Management in
Stockholm Sweden. In the year 2000, he won another Japanese collaborative
research award to undertake a four-month research at the National Institute for
Resources and Environment in Tsukuba Japan.  In 2002, Mr. Odhengo attended
Strategic Management course at the Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA). In
2003, Mr. Odhengo won another SIDA scholarship to undertake a course in
Management of Wind Power Development at Gotland University in
Sweden.  
        
Alphonce Omondi

A graduate of Millersville University with a BSc Degree in Government Political
Affairs and Computer Science, Omondi is currently working on a Masters of
Science Degree in Emergency Management at Millersville University.
He is also the Founder, and director of THE STEM FOUNDATION,(whose aim is to
provide sustainable economic growth through use of mechanized farming in
Kenya), Omondi is the President of NBS Documents Solutions and is an avid
intelligence and para military enthusiast.
David Ndolo

Is a Certified Public Accountant, an experienced foreign exchange dealer and
marketer whose aspiration is to pursue treasury functions within the banking and
finance industry. Ndolo is currently the Director of School-Net Kenya Education
Programme.  
David prides himself in attention to detail and is a goal getter. He believes in
the greater good of the human being with a very strong spirituality. As an astute
organiser, David believes that solutions to problems facing the people of Kenya
are to be found in strong community organising and a determined business
community that embraces the values of honesty, integrity, strong leadership and
compassion. "The time for handouts is behind us, it is time to invest in and
promote self determination", David says.
A graduate of Strathmore College and an astute businessman David has worked
as a Sales and Marketing Executive with Crescent Computer Services Limited, a
Finance Director with OLODYN-LUCYDA Company Limited, Officer-in-Charge,
Transfer Operations Department with Credit Agricole Indosuez Bank and as a
Treasury Corporate Dealer, Standard Chartered Bank Kenya         Limited.
Eric Otiende

 Having started of as a Scientist studying Chemistry and Biology at Rust College,
Eric is a Computer A
nalyst and Salesman with an interest in Law and
International relations.
